Roopville Elementary School holds a special place in my heart because I grew up in Roopville and was once a student here myself! I began teaching at Roopville Elementary in 2013 and have taught Pre-K, third grade, and fourth grade.

I absolutely love teaching math! One of my favorite parts of teaching is watching students grow in confidence as they learn new concepts, discover patterns, and realize that math really does make sense. I especially love teaching fourth-grade math because I get to help students connect the “new math” strategies they are learning with the “old-school” ways many of us grew up using.

More than anything, my goal is for my students to develop confidence in themselves and a genuine love of learning.

I am proud to call Roopville home and love being able to teach in the same community where I grew up. I live in Carrollton with my husband and our two children, and in my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, being outdoors, and soaking up the sunshine.
