Bio

Hi, my name is Mrs. Ashley Williams. I grew up in Rockmart, Georgia. I played girls fast pitch softball throughout my childhood, and I participated in competition cheerleading throughout high school and college.  At the University of West Georgia, I was a member of the all-girl cheerleading squad, where I won three national championships during the four years that I competed. I have been married to my husband, Joey, since 2009, and we currently reside between Rockmart and Temple with our two wonderful children Brantley Cole and Joley Anne. I teach Sunday School to 4th through 6th grade students, and I also enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, shopping, and outdoor activities.

After graduating from Rockmart High School in 2004, I attended the University of West Georgia (UWG) in Carrollton, Georgia to attain a teaching degree.  I graduated from UWG with a bachelors in 2008, a masters in 2009, and a specialist in 2011. All three of my degrees are in Early Childhood Education. I also have an endorsement in Reading and a certificate from the National Writing Project. Additionally, I completed Leadership Certification in 2018 from the University of West Georgia as well.

I have taught at Roopville Elementary since 2008, and I am so thankful to have the opportunity to work with such a wonderful group of educators.  I have taught 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade, and I currently teach 5th grade Language Arts, which includes reading, writing, and grammar. I serve on the School Leadership Team, sponsor the Yearbook Design Team, and coach Academic Team. I love teaching, and I learn something new every day while spending time with our amazing students!
